DocuPen is one of the most famous portable scanners of the market, created by Planon System Solutions Inc, a Canadian Information Technology company from Mississauga, Ontario.
The reason of the success for DocuPen is his small size and scan quality. At first sight, it's just like a pen! But it can scan and store 100 A4 pages thanks to its 8 MB integrated memory.
With DocuPen you can scan documents in place using three different color profiles: monochromatic, 12-bit color and 24-bit color. Moreover, the pen has included an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software that enables the user to edit the scanned text.
DocuPen 8.0 is the software used to explore the pen contents and manage it. Its features are very limited due to the specificity of its purpose.
Please note that the links provided point to the latest DocuPen released: DocuPen RC805. The software is not available for download from the developer's site, it is bundled with the product. However, if you look a while and perform some searches on Internet, you will find the software from 3rd party sites.
